Android Design takes learning to the next level.

I was reading on Nick Pettit blog post yesterday about Art and the Web: Value and it inspired me to write a list on assessing a web design mock-up for myself:
And then I did some further research today and found many design heroes are in fact true devouts of ‘The Squint Test.’ method. Another really useful tip is to take a step back to see the big picture.
Creative use of Parallax scrolling. Clever use of both horizontal and vertical scrolling. I heart, I heart! :D

Just added the site onto my iPad’s Home Screen and I’m lovin’ it! More HTML5 Magazines, please :)
Check it out on asidemag.com

Another creative use of parallax scrolling.
My only question is the intuitiveness of the navigation. I sent this link to a non-web designer friend and he initially thought it was a splash page and did not even realise it was separated in a few sections. However, once you get the idea, it becomes a really clever and engaging experience. Check it out!
“Responsive Web Design is REALLY NEW and NOBODY knows how to do it properly/right/appropriately yet! We’re all just experimenting. And THAT’S FINE!”
Thanks for sharing @markboulton
Still in beta but a good source of inspiration.

We were given a few hours off work to attend the Adobe CS5.5 Melbourne roadshow on Thursday June 2. Four areas were covered in the session - Design, Web, Flash platform and Digital Video & Audio.
Here are some noteworthy new features on CS5.5 in Design & Web:
Photoshop
InDesign
Dreamweaver
Was delighted to see Colin & Jamie record live on Saturday morning. They’re brilliant!

Creative use of parallax scrolling. Although I would prefer the navigation links (Open Menu) to be expanded by default.
